How Does Xfinity Mobile Work?

Xfinity Mobile is a cellular carrier owned by Comcast. The service is available to Xfinity Internet customers.

Xfinity Mobile does not operate its own cellular network. Instead, Xfinity Mobile piggybacks on Verizon’s extensive network. Verizon’s coverage is further supplemented by millions of Xfinity Wi-Fi hotspots throughout the U.S. Xfinity Mobile customers can automatically connect to these hotspots to avoid using cellular data.

Xfinity Mobile offers both unlimited data plans and by-the-gig plans. Subscribers can even mix and match unlimited and by-the-gig lines within a single family plan.

For the most part, Xfinity Mobile’s plans are awfully well-priced. However, potential subscribers should know that extra fees will be charged if an Xfinity Mobile customer cancels their internet service and continues to use Xfinity Mobile.
