Notes
- I have financial relationships with some of the carriers listed above. See my transparency page for details.
- While eSIMs are the only option for the iPhone 143, many other modern phones support eSIM. Along with a handful of Android devices, the iPhone XR/XS and newer iPhones all support eSIM.
Footnotes
- After a year of paid service, subscribers that joined via the trial may be eligible for a $50 prepaid Mastercard. An additional prepaid card is available for subscribers that port in more than one line. More detailed terms from US Mobile’s website:
“New customers who sign up for the 50-day free trial will receive a $50 prepaid card after 12 months of continuous paid service on one of our Unlimited Data or Shareable Data plans (minimum $10/mo). Customers can either select one of these plans at the end of their Free Trial, or they can add another line on one of these plans immediately. Customers will receive an additional $50 on the prepaid card if they port-in a second line on one of our Unlimited Data or Shareable Data plans and maintain 12 months of continuous paid service for that line. In order to receive up to $100 on the prepaid card, customers must confirm some identifying information, which can be done by logging into their US Mobile account and visiting the Rewards Center via the navigation menu.” - Data is deprioritized after 50GB of data use in a month. Deprioritization can lead to lower speeds during periods of network congestion.
- At least, for iPhone models designed for the US. In some parts of the world, the iPhone 14 has a physical SIM slot.
