The standard coverage map shows native (non-roaming) coverage from major US networks. It displays predicted outdoor signal strength throughout the US.
The crowdsourced map displays real-world signal measurements. These data points are used for calibration and adjustment of the data underlying the standard map.
From the Settings Menu (top right button):
Cell coverage data comes primarily from the FCC's Broadband Data Collection Program. The last round of data incorporated in the map was released in May 2025 and represents networks' as of December 2024.
New editions of the FCC data are released roughly every 6 months. The FCC data is supplemented and adjusted with crowdsourced, on-the-ground data from DIMO and Roam.
